Apple
ApPle had every legal right to fire the employee. The article states that appple informs employees "Critical remarks about the brand, were strictly prohibiED". Because Apple includes this term in their employee contract the employee has no right to challenge their decision. While some people might call that unethical on Apples part it is simply environment of modern day business. People should know that anything they post online can be used against them whether positive or negative.

The simple fact that during the hiring process they let you know the social media policies before you agree to work for the company you assume to understand the policies
ReplyDeleteI agree, it was only the fault of the employee to challenge the rules that had been laid out for him and as a result, he got what he should have seen coming.
ReplyDeleteI think everyone has the right to their own opinions as long as it isn't too harsh. We don't even know what that employee said, so who are we to judge?

ReplyDeleteNo way is what Apple did unethical. They are protecting their brand name and if an employe can not refrain from speaking about the place they work its their fault.
ReplyDeleteThere is no reason to complain about work. No one truly likes your job and its better to have a job then not. People should probably think of that before they post things on the social network. Apple is right in doing this.
